Legal Counsel
Are you a customer-focused, solution-oriented legal counsel, with the ability to balance regulatory requirements with business objectives?
About Enity Bank Group
Since 2005, we’ve been challenging the Nordic mortgage market by thinking differently – and more inclusively. We exist for those who often fall between the cracks of the traditional banking system, offering sustainable and responsible mortgages that truly make a difference.
Enity is a listed company with strong brands including Bluestep Bank, Bank2 and 60plusbanken. Together, we operate in Sweden, Norway and Finland, helping people enter the housing market, re-mortgage expensive debt, or save safely and smartly.
At Enity, you’ll be part of challenging conventions, driving change, and creating real value. We believe that the combination of courage, care and innovation can create meaningful impact – both for our customers and for you as a colleague.
Want to help shape the future of banking? You’ll feel right at home at Enity.
About the role
Enity is in an exciting and expansive phase, and we’re looking for a Legal Counsel to play a key role in shaping our future. As part of our legal team, you’ll provide expert advice across the organisation, with a particular focus on supporting our Mortgage Center, Treasury Department and the further development of Enity’s governance as a listed company. You’ll also work closely with senior management and the board, giving you insight into all aspects of the business and direct collaboration with our Chief Legal Officer.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Internal training & communication: Develop and deliver training sessions on legal and regulatory topics to enhance compliance awareness across the organisation.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with multiple departments to balance legal requirements with commercial goals, offering practical and business-oriented solutions.
Specialised areas:
- Mortgage operations: Advise on legal aspects of mortgage lending, credit-related regulations and contractual frameworks.
- Property law: Handle issues related to real estate transactions and property rights.
- Insolvency law: Support the business in matters involving debt collection and independently handle court proceedings.
- Family law: Provide guidance on cases involving family-related financial matters, such as estates and inheritance.
- Funding and treasury: Handle all legal aspects related to Enity’s Medium Term Note (MTN) and Medium Term Covered Note (MTCN) programmes, such as the annual review and update of the prospectuses.
- Corporate governance: Handle all legal aspects related to the compliance with the Swedish Corporate Governance Code and other corporate governance matters.
About you
Enity operates across the Nordic region, offering you the opportunity to work in a dynamic, cross-border environment. You’ll collaborate with colleagues in Norway and Finland, navigating diverse regulatory frameworks and contributing to a unified legal strategy that supports our growth in multiple markets. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an international setting and enjoys balancing local compliance with broader business objectives.
Education & Experience:
- Law degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking or a listed company.
- Solid knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and related processes.
- Experience in mortgage operations, property law, insolvency law, funding and corporate governance from a listed environment.
- Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English (Norwegian or Finnish is also highly valued).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Previous work in banking or credit institutions is a plus.
As a person you are:
- Solution-oriented: Sees business opportunities within regulatory frameworks, seeks innovative approaches, takes initiative and challenges constructively.
- Collaborative: Communicates clearly, works well across functions and levels, and builds strong relationships internally and externally.
- Self-driven: Takes ownership, handles challenges confidently, and ensures progress through practical problem-solving.
You should be customer-focused, solution-oriented, and able to balance regulatory requirements with business objectives.
